The splitter guard is mounted in place of the sight window and provides splinter-free cuts to the right of the saw blade. With the machine running, the splitter guard is cut in and thus fits exactly to the saw blade. The splitter guard can be pushed upwards and is therefore suitable for cuts with and without guide rail.
