WOOD OIL is linseed oil from which the non-drying components have been removed using our unique refining method. It penetrates the substrate and dries quickly through a reaction with the oxygen in the air into linoxin, a natural polymer with good adhesion. It is biologically non-biodegradable, water-repellent, and resists fats, petroleum products, salts, and household acids, such as lemon, wine, and vinegar.
At 20 °C and with good ventilation, WOOD OIL dries within a day.
How to use WOOD OIL
WOOD OIL is absorbed by the parquet or floor planks to a depth of 1.5 – 3 mm and gives the surface a deep luster that cannot be achieved with wax or synthetic oils, which only sit on the surface. Therefore, the treatment lasts until the impregnated wood layer has worn away; in practice for decades.
Damage can easily be repaired by sanding away the damaged wood and then oil polishing the area.
Where the floor is subjected to heavy wear, shiny streaks will develop over the years. They can be restored to like new by polishing them with a polishing pad and a small amount of WOOD OIL at room temperature.
